Our Story
Larry Spayd purchased the sandwich shop in 1971 from the father of the original owner, Samuel Mollica Jr. In doing so, Larry bought the rights to the entire business, which means the shop is not a V&S Sandwich franchise. Spayd has added the name Larry's to V&S. Before becoming a sandwich shop, the store was Epler's Fish Market.
The legacy continues under new management of the Spayd family. Larry Jr, Larry Spayd's oldest son, looks to expand and invigorate the menu and business while staying true to the Larry's V&S everyone has grown to love. Come on out and see what we are cooking up!
Our family is proud to serve the Reading area for over 40 years, being one of the few sandwich shops who can claim this status. We look forward to learning and growing to meet the desires of our friends and family, or as some might call it, our loyal following.
